Radiation Therapy Transportation on Long Island

Radiation therapy requires daily Monday–Friday appointments for weeks at a time — 20 to 40 sessions depending on the treatment protocol. Each visit is relatively short (15–30 minutes), but the cumulative fatigue builds over the course of treatment. Missing sessions disrupts the treatment plan and can reduce effectiveness. DachiPlus provides standing-order daily transportation to all major radiation oncology centers on Long Island, with awareness of cumulative fatigue, punctuality requirements, and the emotional weight of a daily cancer treatment routine. Medicaid covers radiation transportation; Medicare Advantage typically includes it as well.

A little preparation makes every trip smoother. Here's what to have ready when you book or on the day of your ride.
- ✓ Set up your full treatment schedule at booking — provide start date, expected number of sessions, and facility
- ✓ For Medicaid: contact MAS at 1-844-666-6270 at least 72 hours before your first appointment and request a standing order
- ✓ Share your radiation department's phone number so we can coordinate on rare schedule changes
- ✓ As fatigue builds over the course, let us know if you need more boarding time or a different pickup window
- ✓ Companion seating is available at no charge — coordinate with us if your caregiver rides with you
- ✓ If treatment is temporarily paused (common for skin reactions), notify us so we can pause your standing order
